Glen Dene Station hosts HUNTS course
Glen Dene Station recently hosted the Hunter National Training Scheme (HUNTS) course, run by the New Zealand Deer Stalkers Association. Designed to allow novice and inexperienced hunters to become competent in basic hunting and bushcraft skills, the course includes camping for two nights in the bush and hunt red deer. Glen Dene Participates in HUNTS Course
The Wanaka-based Upper Clutha branch of the New Zealand Deer Stalkers’ Association delivered a Hunter National Training Scheme (HUNTS) course which included an overnight camp and a hunting experience on Glen Dene Station, above Lake Hawea. Kevin Gingell-Kent and wife Sharyn (pictured above) were part of a group of nine trainees and five instructors, supervised by NZDA National Hunts coordinator Bill O’Leary.
